Packeta.sk

The fastest-growing digital platform and logistics company for e-commerce needed lawyers to help manage its rapid growth from a startup into a global platform. Packeta serves the e-commerce market, working with more than 49,000 online stores and delivering to 32 countries. The client's group generates annual revenue of over EUR 290 million and consistently achieves year-on-year growth of more than 100%.

The client was looking for a law firm that would

  • take on the role of in-house lawyer and integrate into the client's organisation
  • cover the full range of legal matters, from digital projects and employment relationships to real estate
  • structure the company's legal affairs so that it is ready for a sale (exit) to international investors

Together with the client, we defined its business goals and the areas of the company most important for its growth. These became the focus of our work.

Online application and GDPR. The client developed its own application for sending parcels between customers. As this involves processing the personal data of a vast number of users, we helped the client set up and prepare its GDPR documentation.

Warehouse premises. Warehouses are critically important for an e-commerce logistics company. We helped the client buy, refurbish and lease warehouse premises and depots in several regional cities, working with both local and international developers.

Operating during COVID-19. The pandemic accelerated e-commerce. We represented the client in negotiations with Slovak state authorities and helped it keep operating during this challenging period, in which it doubled in size.

Speed and availability. A four-member team works on the project. Because team members can cover for each other, we are able to respond at very short notice, within 24 hours if needed.
