KODYS SLOVAKIA

A leading systems integrator in automatic identification needed lawyers capable of handling the full legal workload of an IT company. KODYS SLOVENSKO specialises in automatic identification and data processing and is part of IBCS Group, one of the EU's largest AutoID technology suppliers. It has operated for more than 25 years, generates annual turnover exceeding EUR 11 million and employs dozens of people.

The client was looking for a law firm that would:

  • cover the full legal workload of an IT company, from software and licence agreements and developer contracts to GDPR, e-shop legal documentation and cybersecurity
  • understand the processes and language of an IT client
  • communicate clearly and be available

We helped the client tailor an agreement for software analysis and implementation, including support services. The agreement allows the client to supply hardware and its own software that complements the functionality of the main solution.

As part of its employment matters, we prepared documentation for the internal team and collaborators.

We also helped the client launch its e-shop and prepare the related legal documentation, such as terms and conditions and GDPR documentation.

As the client's software solution runs on a cloud covered by NIS 2, we also advised the client on cybersecurity.
